Your Time Home Care & Companions: Michael Shawn Keller

Throughout the month of May we honored the celebration of Small Business Month. As we move forward in the building of our community, we are excited to continue to uplift the small businesses in our network.

Join us as we continue to celebrate these small business owners in our communities.

This week we are honoring Michael Keller and Your Time Home Care & Companions.

Can you tell us a bit more about your company?

We opened on August 16, 2019 as a non medical home care and companions agency for the elderly, veterans and outpatients. Our main goal is to keep people home in a safe environment Where we belong. Our mission is to create a safe and healthy environment while bringing joy in our clients life.

What’s something your company has worked on that you’re most proud of?

We began and continue with the hopes to change the home care industry. We believe in giving home care and companions a living wage and are passionate about creating a work environment to be proud of.

What was your first job? What did you love most about it?

My first job was in a restaurant at the age of 13 and I loved being around all the older crew members and watching the clientele enjoy amazing food. It was then that I realized I love to help bring smiles to everyone’s face, especially the grumpy ones!

What is the most important piece of advice you have been given about money and/or owning a business?

The most important piece of advice I have for anyone is stay healthy and take risks with what you are passionate about. If you have your health you can always earn money lost on a risk back. My Dad taught me this as a young child, he passed away at a young age so I took all his words and lessons very seriously.

How would you say your company/organization positively impacts the community?

We are a small company and we have the opportunity to help create jobs that people want and can be flexible enough for the employees to care for their own families. We pride ourselves on helping the community and being good neighbors, we provide masks when our neighbors need them, we speak to the elderly about safety, teach students about anti-bullying and feel that each person is an opportunity to make our communities safer.

How can people best support you during these times?

In these times of the outbreak we feel the best way people can help us is to help each other, shop local and be prepared for future outbreaks. An amazing way people can help is to share our website on social platforms and do reviews!
