Fraud Prevention Seminar Speaker: Chad Stier

On Nov. 17, Berkshire Bank is hosting a virtual educational program to show how one can better protect themselves and their finances. As we continue to navigate the challenges resulting from COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to protect your financial information and your identity. Older adults are much more likely to be the targeted victims of scams or fraud. Berkshire Bank financial expert’s Chad Stier and Brian Thompson will be the speakers for this event.

Branch Officer Chad Stier

Chad is a Community Bank Branch Manager; Officer of Berkshire Bank in Vernon, CT. He is drawn to projects and organizations that allow him to use his creativity to build community and lift other up to be empowered in their lives. His role includes being a member of the Berkshire Bank Diversity and Inclusion Council, The Berkshire Bank Foundation volunteer committee and a leader for Pride resource group.

As an active member in the community, Chad also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Minority Construction Council (MCC) in Hartford, CT and Board Member of the Connecticut Gay and Lesbian Chamber. Providing workshops and one-on-one support to existing and startup businesses and strategic insight into programs and projects for non-profits.

He is certified as a Financial Literacy Ambassador for the Berkshire Bank/Greenpath Partnership. Chad is frequently a guest presenter/subject matter expert, on issues of credit, fraud and general banking and lending.

When Chad is not at work, he enjoys trips to Cape Cod, Craft beer and wine outings, photography and connecting with friends.
